Almogrote is an excellent raw spread of hard, well-matured goat cheese, pepper, garlic and olive oil. It comes from the island of La Gomera, also known as the Gomera spread. It is consumed as a starter, spread on small bread or biscuits, decorated with olive or cheese. Why not try to prepare it?

Almogrote Recipe 


1/2 kg of very mature, hard cheese (parmesan)

4 tablespoons of pepper

1 hot chilli pepper

1,5 cup of virgin olive oil

8 to 10 cloves of garlic

– up to 300 g of tomatoes can be added according to taste


Moisten and clean the dried pepper, put it in the mixer, gradually add garlic, oil, ground pepper and cheese cut into small pieces or grated.
